"A Brighter Vision"!!

Bailey is  a vibrant, artistic, loving, caring, compassionate, intelligent, and VERY humorous 8 year old who LOVES life. Jesus, singing, dancing, horses and little babies are just a few of Baileys passions.  At 6 weeks old we noticed that Bailey was not tracking or looking at us when we would talk to her. She was constantly looking around as if she could not see us.  After going to her pediatrician he referred us to a Pediatric Ophthamologist who diagnosed Bailey with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and bilateral nystagmus. ONH is a congenital birth condition in which the optic nerve fails to develop normally.  ONH is one of the leading causes of blindness in children.  Baileys vision has been measured as 20/560 (right eye) and 20/2400 (left eye) leaving her as legally blind. Bailey has had Vision Therapy from the age of 6 months and is currently working with Mrs. Brenda Darte, her Vision Teacher at school.  Bailey is currently learning Braille as an alternative since she has to have her materials inches from her face.

We have always been told there was NO CURE for ONH. Recently while doing research we came across www.stemcellschina.com and www.beikebiotech.com. We are EXCITED about  the Stem Cell Treatments that ONH patients have received with miraculous results. The treatment includes 4-6 stem cell transfers of 10-15 million stem cells over a period of 20 to 30 days with rehabilitation of 6 days per week. The stem cells are transfused intravenously via blood stream and through spinal injections. With each stem cell transplant, they also give the patient a transfusion of "Neural Growth Factors" to encourage the stem cells to find their targets and transform into new neurons. There is a 90% success rate with ONH children for improved vision from Stell Cell Treatments. Unfortunately, there are no medical facilities within the United States that offer this type of treatment. Umbilical stem cells from a healthy, live birth will be used for this treatment.   

Unfortunately insurance does not cover any of the expenses and I  have always believed that if "You Delight Yourself in the Lord, He Will Give You The Desires of Your Heart " (Psalm 37:4) so My Desire is to be able to give My Daughter Bailey "A Brighter Vision"!!

We are asking and praying for your help to be able to reach our  goal of  $34,000 dollars to cover the SC Treatments and the expenses involved with being in China for a month.
